We took the kids to Amsterdam and stayed at the Hotel de Paris. It was a charming hotel and the proprietors were very nice. It appears to be a converted canal house.
The Hotel de Paris does not have many rooms, which adds to its charm. Ours was very nice and clean.
This hotel is within walking distance of everything - Central Station, shopping, restaurants, tours and museums. We walked from there to the Central Station area on a daily basis.
The proprietors make sure that you enjoy your stay. They are friendly and helpful.
We highly recommend this hotel and will stay there again (if they have the rooms we need available).
On the edge of the centre of Amsterdam. Close by a big Parkingcentre and city transportation.
Well i dont clue, i just past by on my way to the centre of Amsterdam. But i think there isnt a real BAD hotel in Amsterdam, cause there are so many tourists and they all need a good bed, otherwise they would never come back again.
We were in Amsterdam last September and stayed at a place called Hotel De Paris. Kind of an odd name for a place in Amsterdam but none the less. Located in Liedsplien area and only a 5 minute walk from the main square there. Most rooms had a balcony most overlooking the quiet street below and canal running half a block away. It was a clean place, great location and a decent breakfast included (something more than the traditional continental hotel breakfast). Due to the balcony we smoked there ad enjoyed the views and the sun. Email me if you would like more information. Unfortunately there are no photos on my AMS pages at this point, they are all from previous trips. Good luck, AM oh ya, rates I believe were around 120-150 euro.
French feel inside hotel, dutch feeling right outside.
