Cheap shop for new digital cameras?

by song99

Cheap shop for new digital cameras?

Where is the cheapest electronic store/or other big discount shop (like LIDL) where I can buy a simple, point and shoot digital camera or under 100euro. Sometimes, better deals are found online, so maybe you can a good site for online shopping, I am thinking of a canon powershot, or sony cybershot, something like that - they should be quite cheap now, just need to find the best deal out there. Thanks

Check http://www.kruidvat.nl/ they have very good deals. deals change on Tuesdays..
Also check http://www.hema.nl/
and http://www.mediamarkt.nl/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/MultiChannelHome?storeId=10101

For another real shop, see www.bcc.nl. They guarantee that they are the cheapest, compared to a fixed list of their competitors. If not, they pay you the difference + 25%.

To compare (internet) shops, see http://www.kieskeurig.nl/digitale_camera.

Personally, I buy the more expensive stuff online, but for a cheap camera you might as well buy in a real shop...

Cheers,
Dennis

Keep checking those websites of Aldi, Lidl and Media Markt.

I bought my camera 3 years ago with a Father's Day discount at Media Market.

Last camera was a Canon for Euro 59 at Aldi with 50% discount (local surplus action).

Travel Tips for Amsterdam

Don't forget to look up!

by kymbanm

I was amazed at the architecture of Amsterdam .. there are niches on the wall of buildings overlooking the canals with saints and other decorative items; gables of wonderful intricacy; statues on the tops of buildings ...... I'm not an architect, and certainly don't know the proper terms - but be sure to look up as you are wandering the city to experience another wonderful sight on every block! This is a detail of the top of Koninklijk Palace in Dam Sqaure - though a palace is supposed to have this sort of detailing - you'll find this sort of thing EVERYWHERE!!!

Sleep, drink and smoke at The Greenhouse Effect. This place is a hotel, bar and coffeeshop and must not be missed.

http://www.greenhouse-effect.nl/ You don't have memories when you get back from Amsterdam. Well there is one.. a good friend of mine has just moved there and seeing her settled in her gorgeous pad overlooking the canals was pretty special... (green-eyed monster made an appearance)

They're all over the place and just beautiful. Some are crooked - don't worry, it's not you. (Even if you have been in a coffeeshop.) I never got tired of walking around this city and looking at these.

Just a pic

by Lalique

Still being in high spirits of seeing the sun in Amsterdam (the 1st time in my two trips there!!!!), I decided to take this pic....
Just imagined that if there had been leaves on trees, one might have thought that it's Summer or Spring.... :)))

GETTING AROUND.....PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION...

by eden_teuling

AMSTERDAM has 17 tram lines, 37 bus lines and 3 subway lines, all of those routes are shown on a free map provided by the GVB.

The Circle Tram - line 20 - is especially attractive for tourists, as it provides a very cheap tour of the city, linking all MAJOR ATTRACTIONS.

Single trip tockets are available from the conductor on most tram routes, or, more economically, purchase a multi-trip ticket (known as a STRIPPENKAART) at the GVB, Amsterdam Tourist Office (VVV), most tobaconists and supermarkets.

The GVB Publik Transportations Office is in front of Centrral Station where you will find a route map and an English - Language guide to the ticketing system.
There is also a beautiful new one on track too, inside the station, which is open the longest (8.00AM - 8 PM)

Or call for info: GVB - tel. 0900 92 92
