When ordering a hotel we read about all the wonderful reviews about the wonderful, kind and helpful owner. So our shock at our first encounter with him was considerable. We arrived at 11:30 being stuck in Belgium traffic and not having a cell phone to call, having ran the bell at night we apologized and explained the situation..he screamed, scoffed, cursed and threw us the keys telling us he didn't care what room we sleep in and to just leave him alone. There were 2 rooms left open (some rooms didn't even have numbers on them so we couldn't figure out where to sleep) so we took one of them. It was a hostel style room with a shower over the toilet and unpleasant, stuffy air. In the morning the owner said that we slept in the wrong rooms, our rooms (that were more expensive then that one) were on a different floor and apologized for his behavior the night before. We were ready to forgive and forget but at check-out he insisted on charging us full price for both nights ignoring the fact that the first room was cheap and horrible. So be warned!!
