Hostel Close to Centraal Station

No Curfew, my room had 10 beds in it. Spent my last night in Amsterdam here and it wasn't half bad. The bar is more social than the rooms in this hostel. It also has a kitchen with basic hot sandwiches. Only drawback is the oil drum storage lockers in the room (loud).

Unique Quality: Very friendly staff. Building sits right in the canal and you can see Centraal Station outside the large center window.

In the Middle of it All

During my week in Amsterdam I stayed the main duration of the trip at a hostel called Meeting Point. This hostel was perfect in that it was right a relaxed hostel in the heart of the Red Light district. All I had to do was sit on my bed (which I pulled up to where the balcony was) and watch the people go by. Endless amounts of entertainement passed by: fights, beggars, drug dealers.....it was perpetual!

The actual accomodation was fine, great considering where we were located. I would go back and stay there again if I returned to Amsterdam.

Unique Quality: There was a pool table and bar on the main level of the hostel's premises. The hostel wasn't pretty itself but the staff were nice and the location was close to the city centre.
