Very close to RAI train Station ...
Hotel is not in the city center, but the tram station is just across the main street to walk in less then 5 mins, sothat u can get the tram and reach Dam Square and city center easily in 15-20 mins tram ride .... Also the main RAI Railways Station is very close in case u reach / depart from Hotel w trains to other cities of Netherlands or to other countries in Europe ...
Thats a quite big Hotel w a large number of rooms, serving to businessmen and also to tourists from all over the world ... As it was still ok w the reception area on my previous stays, about three years ago the main entrance and lobby area they did renovate, so now much more comfortable and high tech area for business meetings to stay and also for the bar ...
Has a restaurant for guest at the Main Floor and also one large area on the first floor serving as breakfast room in case u did arrive w a travel agency in tourist groups ... The breakfast in the main lobby is very good w many sorts of coffee, cheese, fresh fruits etc, its a bufet breakfast ...
Rooms r modern furnished, clean and well decorated, minibar (paid) ....
Hotel area is mostly w apartments, about 10 mins walk is a small supermarket, in case u need some daily necessities which stays open till late ....
On my opinion this Hotel is very recommendable for ur business trips and also for family vacations as the location is a very safe district ...

Pleasant staying
The hotel is situated close to "Amstel" park, but you can easily get to the city centre in about 10 min by tram.It's in a quite but safe region even for solo female travellers like i was:-)It's very clean and comfortable with a quite satisfactory buffet-breakfast. You can even relax at his pub or restaurant at the evening, enjoying the greenery landscape and having a delicious meal on a very good price!

Short walk to RAI
The Novotel near the RAI is a very short ride from Schiphol Airport and perfect for those attending an event in this business section of Amsterdam. It's also perfect for those who want a quieter place than the centre of town. The #4 tram is just a block away and it's a short ride to most tourist attractions, shopping or Central Station. The rooms aren't huge but very adequate with nice mini-bars, TV and an average-size bathroom. The staff is very competent and friendly/helpful. Breakfast is a huge buffet and a nice way to start the day.

Convenient alright
The hotel room itself is nice esp. the bed, pillows and the blanket...made me not want to get out of the bed. Everything is clean in general. The hotel receptionists are helpful. There is a wireless internet but it is not free. The location is not that I would call an ideal cos it is a little far out of the center. However, what makes it better is the fact that there is the tram within a 5 minute walking distance...Station Rai..and this line goes to all major areas of the city.

Unique Quality: The place was awesome!! I came on a tour and didn't really spend a whole lot, I thought the hotel was going to be ratty... WRONG!!!! This hotel was upscale and very modern. Very comfortable and they even program your TV to say hello and your name when you turn it on! (text not audible)

Better Than Average Airport/business Park Hotel
this is not near historic downtown parts of the city but is a nice hotel. It's modern with a lot of shops in the lobby. I was there on business so it was pefect for me. probably not a hotel for the tourist spending a few days touring Amsterdam.
Unique Quality: The hotel is within walking distance to the last stop for one of the city's trolley lines. It was a lot of fun just to take the trolley and see where you wind up. It's a cheap tour. This does take you to downtown Amsterdam. It was fun to do.

This 4-star hotel (Accor group) you can find on the outskirts of Amsterdam in the middle of business centre of this city. It is therefore very good hotel for businessmen, but for a family stay as well, as there is a perfect connection to the city or other parts of Holland from the nearby train station, with frequent links by train, tram or metro.
There are more than 600 rooms with air-conditioning. Rooms for smokers as well as for non-smokers available.
Unique Quality: Hotel has a restaurant, an English Pub and a coffee shop. There are also some boutiques. Room service is from 6.00-24.00 h.
The hotel has conference accommodation for more than 200 persons.

Located near the RAI
Amsterdam is a huge Conference and Convention City. The Hotel Novotel provides comfortable accommodations close to the RAI. This 4 Star hotel has 600 modern rooms for the business traveler with all the expected ammenities. Walking distance to the RAI and trams to Central Amsterdam, close to parks and away from the Canal Zone, this is not a hotel for the traveler desiring to be in the center of the Amsterdam City action.
Unique Quality: Restaurant, Bar and Gift shop onsite.

Could anyone tell me if this hotel is far from the city centre, I do not drive and wanted to know if it was easy to get from this hotel to the main attractions?

You're defenitely not in the middle of the happening area, but you can take tram 4 to the city center from Amsterdam Novotel.

Member goingplaces stayed in this hotel and thought it was terrible... First check with her what to expect. Location is not perfect either. For just a little bit more you can also stay at the 5* Krasnapolsky hotel right on Dam Square, right in the middle of everything!!

you'll find a link to the hotel location on a map.
You can also take the train from nearby Amsterdam RAI to Central Station or anywhere else.
Don't worry, Amsterdam tram and bus network is excellent.
You could consider renting a bicycle at Central Station or otherwise the hotel can help you out with information.
