This hotel just opened in January 2005, and they really need some suggestions for improvement. It's small and clean, there is no lift and lots of narrow steps. The breakfast room is large and they offer eggs, meat, breads, jam, juices, tea, coffee, and cereal.
If you are TALL, don't stay here...the beds are very small and uncomfortable. There are no towel racks or hooks in the tiny bathroom, which is a pain. The phones did not work so that you can call out and the credit card machine was "broken". I've heard that many small hotels in Amsterdam try to get you to pay cash so that you they don't have to pay a commission. We refused to pay cash and he took credit card information to charge when the machine was fixed.
Unique Quality: The only good thing was.....it is clean and close to Leidseplein!
Directions: Tram 24 or 16
between Heineken Experience and Rijksmuseum
I need feedback that might help me pick one of the above hotel. Basically location, cleanliness, safety, proximity to ....?
Paganini looks newer, just opened. La Boheme probably has some smaller rooms on the higher floors with shared facilities, but it's close to the Leidseplein action.
I would go for Paganini, because they have to deserve some credits and good ratings (and rooms will have new stuff in it).
Hi! Check reviews on tripadvisor - la Boheme has better rating and reviews than Paganini. Regards, Kit
