Great Location

Nice hotel. Room was very clean and moderm. The only down side is there was a 12euro charge for internet access from the room. They offer 3 computers for internet use, but they were often in use by other guests or not functioning.

Unique Quality: This hotel has a great location. It is right next to the Dam Square, two blocks from the RLD, and one block from Warmoesstraat - a heavily coffeeshop laden street. It is less than a 10 minute walk from the Centraal Station.

Best location

Located in the center of Dam Square, this hotel was ideally located . The rooms were well kept and clean and the staff was polite and attentive to all our needs. We arrived early around 10:00am, hours before our check in time, but they were able to get us our room cleaned and ready in about a hour. After a long flight and time zone change we needed to nap before we went to party. We stayed 4 nights 5 days in Amsterdam and being centrally located was such a great help and pleasure. Walking is the best mode of transpertation but we also took a few hassle free trams. Amsterdam has got it down pat when it comes to getting around. Can't wait to go back.

Fantastic Amsterdam Hotel!

We stayed in this hotel in Feb 2004 and we loved it! From the outside the hotel didnt look very exciting but when we entered the foyer the staff were so friendly and inviting. The foyer was beautiful and our room was even better. We stayed in the Junior suite which was absolutely beautiful, we had an amazing view over Dam Square and even had our own balcony! The facilities in the room where really excellent and the bathroom was huge!! We are taking a trip back there for Valentines weekend this year and will be staying in the Junior Suite again, I cant wait!!

Unique Quality: The view from the room was great, the balcony was amazing and the hotel itself is very near to all the attractions. The accomodation itself was very impressive, clean beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly. I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone.

So convenient

Good quality place, and location is ideal. Easy walk from Central station (so easy from Schipol as well) and right by Dam square. Restaurants by the dozen on the doorstep.

Nice hotel - GREAT location

The hotel staff was extremely professional, helpful, and friendly. We arrived early (11am) and were given a room immediately. The lobby was small, but nice.

The rooms were very nice; spacious by European standards. The bathroom was very modern with an interesting shower which included a half-length glass partition instead of a curtain or door.

Amenities were great - each room had an espresso maker.

Limited (decent) English TV channels, for what it's worth.

Location location location

We stayed in this hotel due to a scheduling mix up. Our reservations were made for the next night in the hotel delta, so we wandered down the street to the swissotel. Luckily they had an opening for that night, but it was about $500 US for that single night. It was explained to me that all hotels were jacking their prices up because the World Cup was being held in neighboring Germany at this time. And Amsterdam just happens to be one of the world’s busiest routes to get there. So after 16 hours of travel I didn’t care and ponied up the money for a bed and a bath. The room was a second floor corner room with a little balcony that opened up to over look the street. It had a comfy bed a bath big enough for my big ass, all in all not a bad place. Breakfast is included in the price and there is no curfew, always a doorman to let ya in.

Unique Quality: The room did have a very nice view of the city center right down the street from the train station. just look at the pic!

VERY safe, great hotel!

Well located next to Central Square. Within walking distance to the train station, the museums and everything you could care to see!

Unique Quality: As a woman traveling alone abroad, safety is a key issue for me. The front desk is located within five feet of the front door, assuring that staff sees all comings and goings. An elevator which requires a room keycard to operate also helps to keep the riff raff from busy Damrak Street out.
