Turnover school
The College Hotel is housed in a former school build in 1894 in the same style as the Rijksmuseum. The location is at the museum area, opposite the Concertgebouw.
The school is owned by the Regional Traning Center, devision Hotel Management School.
The hotel is supervised by the Stein Group, but the lower management are students doing there practise year.
Unique Quality: The hotel is a landmark and a protected mounument.

Amsterdam: Central Station or Amsterdam Zuid
I am taking the train to Amsterdam from Hamburg and have the option of Central Station or Amsterdam Zuid. Given that I am staying at The College Hotel (near the museums), I wonder if I'm better off getting off the train at Amsterdam Zuid. Thanks

I would transfer at station Amsterdam Zuid (WTC). It is closer, and more convenient to find the right tram.
You need tram 5, direction Central Station. Get out at the stop "Roelof Hartplein", it´s about 11 minutes.

I would go for the best time that fits you and see which journey needs the least changing of trains.
From both stations there are direct trams to your hotel.

It´s unbelievable that the public transport site is not in English, ATLC! I got your tip bookmarked and you´ll see it likely more often ;-)
BTW, PJ is right of course, you can get there from both stations. I just assumed that you didnt have to transfer trains to get to Amsterdam Zuid.
