Self Catering Houseboat

The house boat is very clean and as we opted for breakfast, the fridge was generously filled daily. The kitchen has all appliances, and if you are on a budget you can save by cooking at "home". It accomodates from one to four people, the price is reasonable and includes a computer with unlimited internet access. It has everything one finds in a hotel without sharing it with others. The whole boat is yours except for one part (the owners' office) which he uses for 1-2 hours a day. He is invisibe except when wanted and extremly friendly & helpful.

It is very calm & quite yet close to most major sights, and on a sunny day, we sat outside sun tanning like the rest of the residents of Amsterdam.

I will definitely go back!

Directions From Amsterdam Central Station:
Take tram no. 4 (direction NS Station Amsterdam RAI).
Get off at stop 'Frederiksplein' (which is the 1st stop after 'Prinsengracht').
From the tramstop, walk back in the direction the tram came from for about 50 yards.
At the traffic lights, turn right towards the Achtergracht. (The street sign says: "Achtergracht/Frederiksplein")
After about 100 yards, you'll see the houseboat on your right.
