The nicest apartment, hostel, hotel I ever had....

Clean, modern and more space than ever.
Mid-price better with four sharing one of the apartments.

Unique Quality: Breakfast incuded (all you can eat) and served up till 12 noon !!!!!!
Right in the heart of Amsterdams red light district

Greenhouse Effect Hotel

The picture is of oneof the themed rooms at the Greenhouse Hotel. This hotel is very central a short walk from Dam square and many bars and coffee shops. They have their own coffee shop and bar next door where you can eat breakfast which is included in the price. Prices range from €59 to €155.

Unique Quality: We stayed at this hotel for two days in the less expensive rooms, they were ok if a little small and hot as we were there in the summer, there are bigger rooms if you want to pay more. I found the staff very helpful and having a coffee shop and bar next door it was very handy. In the coffee shop next door you will find some of the best goodies in all Amsterdam at a good price and not like some of the coffee shops in Amsterdam which are a rip off.

My room for 2 single beds was 70 dutch guilders a night for offseason.

Unique Quality: affordable, very personable staff, permanent happy hour for guests, they have it all . I was there Christmas night, they had a disco themed party and felt most welcome. Although, they took to calling me Buffalo Bill due to my full goatee at the time...

Greenhouse Effect Hotel

by yizzy99

I booked my friend and I at this hotel for our last night in Amsterdam. I figure by that point we'll be so sick of the hostel environment and will need our own space and bathroom.

Is this a good hotel?

It's located at the heart of Center City Amsterdam; see:

I just checked their website (http://www.greenhouse-effect.nl/hotel.html); all bedrooms have unigue themes.
Downstairs is a coffeshop, bar with entertainment and a souvenirshop.
Expect many tourists, stoned people and drug dealers hanging around; it's nect to the Red Light District.

I'm from Florida. I'm used to drug dealers and homeless people all over the place. Amsterdam is probably pretty tame in comparison to this pit. :-p

OK, I see you will have no trouble. The only other thing going on are the construction works of the new metro South of the Central Station.
