Tulip Inn Amsterdam City West: Too far out of town and in a wierd location

Just stayed one night because I thought it was closer to the airport than I thought. Staff ok but the room smelled bad and the breakfast was not included and 18 euro. Just not a very pleasant stay
Directions: In a residential neighborhood with no restaurantss or nightlife at all. Too far from the airport. 19 euro for round trip service to the airport.
This hotel is quite a distance from the attractions of the Amsterdam city centre. But that can be a good thing. We drove in to town and found this hotel very easy to find and drive to, plus they offer Free Parking. This is a nice draw in Amsterdam. The rooms were spacious, clean and simple. Chris and I didn't eat breakfast (14 Euros) but my father-in-law did and pronounced it delicious. The hotel is a couple blocks from the tram station that'll take you directly into town. There was a delicious little bakery around the corner.
I believe the hotel cost about 115 Euros a night per room, not person. I could be mistaken though.
