what terminal do flights to USA leave from in schiphol airport
There's only one terminal at Schiphol with a number of "piers" idicated with letters B, C, D, E, F & G
Behind the letters are gate numbers.

That airport should be the model by which all others are built.
Non-Shengen piers are: D (partially), E, F, G.

flower markets in Amsterdam were first held in 1862. They have since developed into the best-known flower market of Holland. Whatever your favorite flower, you are bound to find it here. Merchandise ranges from the traditional Dutch tulips and geraniums to delicate indoor cypresses and manobole plants from the Easter Islands. Typically Dutch souvenirs are sold too. In December the Singel market colors green with masses of Christmas trees in all shapes and sizes
Visit the canals. The architecture surrounding the banks of the canals is so beautiful that everywhere you look there seems to be a photograph! We did not book any accomodation before leaving England as we thought it would be a great adventure for four travellers on a budget to arrive at the airport and then find somewhere to stay! We arrived the weekend of a large conference and were told that the only place still available was the 4* Airport Hilton (a little more expensive, and a little less of a cultural experience than we would have liked) However, it worked out cheaper than a 2* hostel in Amsterdam town centre due to the fact they had so many rooms left, it was near to the airport (and it's train link to central Amsterdam) and we were treated like royalty! Probably the best thing that could have happened to us!

This is the rather splendid looking shopping centre called Magna Plaza, located behind the Royal Palace on Dam Square. I love how it appears against the night sky with all the lights. We really liked walking back to the hotel at night, seeing all the lights and people.
I made this picture because I loved the lamp posts that where on this beautiful bridge.
Maybe you have to enlarge the picture to see it more clearly.
