April 2005. A rainy day and dunes, dunes - as far as our eyes could reach. We made a walk of about eight kilometers through the dunes which was supposed to take us to the sea and back again. Along this particular stretch of the coast, the area covered by the dunes is exceptionally wide and the dunes are very tall - up to thirty meters in some places. Also, during the first part of our trip, we walked south in a direction parallel to the sea rather than towards it. Well, to cut a long story short: we deliberately made a 'shortcut' and missed the sea by about one kilometer!
But we corrected our mistake quite soon afterwards: we took our car and drove towards the village and a beach pavillion ...
