the best location for the explorering town

I stayed in this hotel in the spring of 2011, the day bloemencorso, in other words, the annual parade of flowers. Procession of the platforms decorated with flowers, starts in the town of Noordwijk and moves in the direction of Haarlem, passing the small towns and Keukenhof on the way. At around 10 pm the cavalcade arrives at the center of Haarlem, where the feast finishes with a concert.

In the morning the guests have the opportunity to view the flower platform in a stationary position and to make plenty of photos.

The location of the hotel is, as they say, better than you can imagine. Right on the main square Grote Markt, near the walls of the main cathedral De Grote of St.Bavokerk. It’s about 15 minutes on foot from the train station.
Actually, I had booked a Joops Hotel. He was in 5 minutes walk from the Ambassador, but at the time of check-in, apparently, there were no rooms, so I received a number in Ambassador, and, of course, had not regret:)

The hotel has an elevator, even though it is located in an old house. The room was spacious, clean, with very large comfortable bed and a window into the yard, which I appreciated at night, when I was going to get asleep at a time when the town was still celebrating :)

The room had all amenities, safe, television, hair dryer. Overall, I was satisfied with the room in general, but was a little embarrassed by the shabby carpet, as I think it’s not a good idea to use carpets in hotels. Also it would be great to have a kettle in the room, as it was in my hotel in Amsterdam.
Awaiting the arrival of the parade, I was so chilled that my only dreamу was to have a cup of hot tea before bedtime.
And I had another run around the neighborhood to find the cafe in which the tea was offered.
Breakfast at the hotel was very good.

In general, the Harlem left a very fresh, good impression, as the city, which is convenient and comfortable for living. Good transport links, a wonderful old town, great shopping.
