I am due to land at Schiphol this Friday night March 12. I will be staying in Uithoorn Best Western. What is the cheapest and quickest way of getting to Uithoorn at night (flight arrives in the evening)?

It will not give exact directions to the hotel address (Thamerhorn 1, 1421 CE Uithoorn) and you will need to change buses. Intermediate stops are listed You can see the nearest bus stop to the hotel marked on the google map linked on its directions page:

Travel time to central Uithoorn is around 40 minutes.
You could contact the hotel directly to find out exactly which bus stops 0.5km away (as its pages state).
Or you might find a taxi preferable.....distance is around 9km.
The hotel website (http://www.bestwestern.nl/best-western-adam-airport-hotel-uithoorn) says there is a "Shuttle Service" available.
Perhaps contact the hotel or this service.

It says: shuttle transportation on request (It might not be a free ride)
If you decide to use public transportation just use the Connexxion bus service (departing in front of the Schiphol Plaza Main Hall).
It's either (recommended) Connexxion bus 300 to the Amstelveen busstation and change to the Connexxion bus 170 to the Uithoorn busstation
or
Connexxion bus 191 to the Kruisweg-Rozenburg busstop and change to the Connexxion bus 140 to the Uithoorn busstation

Rick FM is a popular local radio station at 106.3 MHz FM.
The founders came from a local pirate station at the polder of the neighbouring De Kwakel.
Nowadays it's a 24/7 legal station with the latest state of the art equipment and popular DJ's.
Uithoorn is a village just South of Amsterdam at the border of the Amstel river. When you enter the village from Amstelveen you see blocks of appartment buildings. Luckely there is more beside these highrisers.
Uithoorn (Outer Corner) dates from the Middle Ages. It was a piece of land between the Zijdelmeer lake and the Amstel river. The marshes South of Amsterdam were used for peat digging and many lakes were created in this way. In the 18th and 19th century the lakes were transformed into polders, like the Bovenkerkerpolder, the Thamerbinnenpolder the Noorder Legmeer and the Zuider Legmeer. Farming developped the area.
Connections to Uithoorn improved in 1915 with a railroad from Haarlem to Nieuwersluis and in 1942 with the road from Haarlem to Hilversum.
After the second World War Uithoorn developped fast pushed by the economical growth of the South Amsterdam region (Shiphol Airport and Aalsmeer flowers). In 50 years the numbers of inhabitants quadrupled to almost 30.000.
