If you take the bus, walk up the hill slightly from where you get off the bus until you get to the harbor, there are 2 different shops in the area for vintage photos on the road facing the bay. Enjoy!

Travel Tips for Volendam
The general feel of the place
While visiting Amsterdam I stayed a few miles down the road in the coastal town of Volendam, a peaceful escape from the bright lights. The cobbled streets and rustic shops give it a time warp feel, until you get to the modern market place.

It was raining like hell that day, thus the pics look very gray and sad, but if you pick a real sunny and warm day, you'll enjoy this town to the fullest.
You can take a boat to go to island/peninsula, which name starts with "M", but I can't recollect now. Was told that it's not of a big deal ;)) but still is nice to see, and you can consider it as a small sea trip.

MARINA
There were heaps of pleasure craft in the harbour at Volendam but there is also a tradition of fishing and the town is known for its great seafood. We didn't have much time to sit down in one of the many restaurants that serve the fruits of the fishermans labours but I would have loved to have sampled some! There are numerous restaurants lining the waterfront.
