Restaurant & Hotel Carelshaven
Unique Hotel in a preserved surrounding
The hotel was build in 1772 by Carel George Duke of Wassenaar, Heer of Twickel, as an guesthouse along the Twickelervaart. Since 1837 it is in control of the Kluvers Family and well known for its gastronomy.
2013 Update: The Hotel will close at the end of this year after being in business for 237 years, Sad, but renovations to comply with the latest fire safety regulations and the removal of some asbestos will need a financial injection beyond the family capital. The Kluvers family hopes to find a new owner (maybe the Twickel society) that will renovate the building and continue the hotel.
Directions: From the A35 highway take the Delden exit and go to Delden. Take a left at the traffic lights. The Hotel is at the first sideroad to the left.
