Bowling in Party and Bowling Centre De Worp. Great fun with the Brink family, family members of my mother-in-law. My score was 123 (10 rounds), I know it's not an awful lot for professionals, but for me it was just one point below my (registered) all time high! De Worp is located just across the river IJssel from the town of Deventer in a small village called Steenenkamer.
Open Monday through Saturday 2:00 pm to 1:00 am, Sundays 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm
We visit Deventer at 5 May, at this day we celebrate liberation day in the Netherlands, that is why flags are every where.
I noticed that it is a common thing to put out the flag in the USA however in the Netherlands this is not a very common tradition, only on our queens birthday and at May fifth
Deventer tries to keep their historical buildings in their own character.
Those former stables show this very well.
At this stables people leave their horses when they went to the market.
The stables are rebuild in the nineties.
This historical facade dates from the year 1735, on top of the facade are the goddess Diana and Juno
This building accommodate the warehouse Vroom & Dreesmann a very famous warehouse in the Netherlands almost every town has a Vroom & Dreesmann
On the square in front of this warehouse we drink a cup of coffee before we continued our tour
I know there aren't any pictures of Deventer, and that would be because it was pouring rain the day we went for our meet with PJ, Swanet, Rene, and Jaap. So I'm going to have to go back and take some pictures!! Hopefully when the sun is out.
But I still have Sandy's meet in Deventer down at the bottom :)
