In Zwolle Christian girls are giggling all the time. Amazing fenomenon! When you go to nightclubs, they will keep staring at you. The girls I mean. The Zwolle newspaper Zwolse Courant writes about nothing. No fokking thing! It's a funny city, nothing ever happens there. But cheer up: the Zwollenaars are always drunk, and go to church on sundays. After which they disappear in the pubs, to get drunk again. Getting thrown out of a restaurant.
Relics Thomas a Kempis
by egonwegh
The relics of Thomas a Kempis (ca. 1380-1472), mystic, author of the Imitatio Christi. In November 2005, these relics have been transferred - as a translator I feel tempted to say 'translated' - from St. Michaels Church, where Jennie played the organ until 1994, to the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwe Basiliek or Peperbus in the town centre. I never paid much attention to them while they were in St. Michaels, but the neo-Gothic shrine containing the relics is a must see ... if you are interested in relics.

' Pampus '
Janine and her collegues in Pampus. Good food in a nice environment.
The restaurant is decorated like a ship.
The history of the name of this restaurant is in a big book with old newpaper articles.
Upstairs is also a nice part of the restaurant.

"This is my hometown!"
Zwolle is the place I live in... and as far as I know its quite cool. Its not as big as Amsterdam and not as busy, but its a nice way of living. There are some nice spots that are worth to pay a visit. I live here for almost two years and Im still happy to be here. The people are nice and the nightlive is just enough! Unfortunatly we dont have any big clubs, but we do have one you can spend a good night. We do have a few good pubs and bars, ofcourse the one I work in too...
During the summer we have some events which are very good for such a town as Zwolle. The picture was taken on liberationday. We celebrate it big time! Party all day and night! There are several spots where everybody finds his kind of amusement. If you want to know more...let me know.
Zwolle

Although the provincial capital of Overijssel is the economic and cultural centre of a sprawling area and the seat of important trading companies, it still looks like a 17th century fortress with its bastions and its radial moat.
The historic old town with its beautifully restored houses can be easily explored on foot but if you want to try something different you should take a trip round the town through the canals in a pedal-boat. If you want to learn more about life there in the past, you should go to the Provinciaal Overijssels Museum on the Melkmarkt. In this aristocratic mansion there is furniture from Gothic to Art Nouveau on display and there is also an interesting archaeological department at present in the 16th century vaults. The richly carved chancel of the St. Michaelskerk with the brutal and sensual faces never fails to attract attention.
In Zwolle I always meet with friends who come from the other side of the country, a date in the middle so to say. Most of the time I forget to take my camera with me, so the last time I went there, I bought a single use camera. In December I visited Zwolle once more, this time equiped with my new digital camera! Some photographs I then took can be seen in my travelogue.
