Montfoort and Linschoten
Montfoort is a small city in the province Utrecht, located close to the city Utrecht.
The municipality of Montfoort includes the village Linschoten and has about 13500 inhabitants in 2008.
The river Hollandse IJssel flows through the city.

You can combine a visit to Montfoort with a visit to the village Linschoten: A hike of 12 km along the river and through pasture connects the two places.
This hike is called the Engherkade route and is well marked so you will not get lost.
