I had three nights in the NH Utrecht over New Year - I got a special rate on a double room of €191 for the three nights (i.e. just over 60 Eur a night) without breakfast booking through hotels.com. The hotel is located just by the railway station and is about 5 minutes walk from it - most pubs etc. were about 20 minutes walk from the hotel. The room was large and spacious, with a very comfortable bed, satellite TV and the view from our window on the 17th floor was quite impressive.
The 4 star hotel is well located, especially if you are here for work. It allows you to be out of the city in a reasonable time, but it's not far at all from the city centre and the railway station. You can easily reach the city centre by passing through the immense shopping mall...and it really worth while!! :-))
