Quirky, Friendly, Brilliant
This Hostel is one of the products of the creative 'Voerstraede Foundation' and it shows on the inside. From the quirky decor to the grassroots feel of the place (many of the staff are volunteers I think and the atmosphere is more like going to a friend's house.
Do note that unlike many other places, breakfast is not included in the standard price, but with or without breakfast this place will be well worth a stop.

Strowis hostel
In a lovely old building close to the town centre, this is an excellent hostel. The rooms are spacious, we had a double but there are also multiple rooms and dormitories. The staff were really friendly and helpful.
There's a big room downstairs and a small garden people can use.

Excellent Hostel with Organic Food
I could not believe that this wasn't already in the tips! Stowis saved my trip once with it's hospitality and it is really a nice, tidy and comfortable hostel. The thing that impressed me the most was the organic breakfast , diversity in the room/dorm sizes and free Internet. And the people there were very nice!
