The Scaldis Hotel and Restaurant: Hotel in Breskens, Zeeland

This hotel was picked as a base to explore Walcheren, an area of Zeeland which we visited briefly in 2006. From Breskens it is possible to catch a ferry to Vlissingen and Middelburg thus avoiding a long drive round and a journey through a long tunnel.
The Hotel Scaldis was excellent value for money, being a three star hotel with its own restaurant.
Our room had the amenities that one would expect i.e. batch, shower, toilet and wash basin all en-suite, as well as a balcony with a table and chairs and access to a pleasant garden.
The hotel was very clean and well maintained with friendly, helpful staff.
The restaurant seemed a little expensive at first but compared well with other restaurants in Breskens.
We would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel to others.
