Hotel Arneville
Arneville is part of the well known Best Western chain. It's a modern hotel, about 20 minutes walk from the city center of Middelburg and situated in a modern area opposite some big stores.
Unique Quality: For 2005, the room rates are 109 euro for a double room (103 euro in winter season). This is excluding breakfast buffet at 13,50 euro per person. The rooms are modern, quite standard but comfortable. All have twin beds, hairdryer, a shower or a bath.
The lounge and dining/breakfast room looks nice and the hotel staff are professional. I guess this is more of a business hotel.
The hotel is more expensive than average in Middelburg, due to the separate breakfast rate.

Outside the old city
The Arneville hotel is located just outside the old city. You can walk to the city center in 10 minutes tough. There is plenty of space to park your car (free).
The rooms are OK, nothing fancy for the 105 Euro we payed. The breakfast is a huge buffet, for which we payed 13 Euro pp. So all in, with tax we payed 135 Euro for one night. (aug 2004)
If you check value against price it comes out as too expensive.

A PLEASANT PLACE.....
This hotel is situated next to the city centre and is very easily to be reached.
Great is the fact that is has ample parking fascilities for cars: which means no irritation in the city centre itself because you can walk that little distance in minutes!
It can offer its guests 36 comfortable rooms, 5 halls for special festivities & parties, a wonderful and atmospheric restaurant and a bar.
Everything is quite new and looks great: I saw the construction of the hotel a few years ago.......

The kitchen of Hotel arneville offers many regional cuisine with Fresh Fish with a capital F. Free car park near the hotel.
