Hotel Nieuwe Doelen
Now there are 4 hotels on Loskade right opposite the train station. We were originally looking for Hotel Commerce but decided that this one was nicer. We saw three rooms, all different in size. The smallest (with a small double bed) is indeed rather small. The medium and large rooms are all spacious enough with good bathrooms. The view to the front is on the canal and on the back you view the old city center and the tower, which is nice.
Unique Quality: The lobby is spacious with a bar and easy leather chairs in a very nice ambience. I must say the cappucino was a giant delight, both in size and taste.
Rate for a medium double room (2005) is 114 euro in high season. A large double room is 125 euro in high season.
All rooms have toilet, shower or bath, hairdryer, radio, tv. Prices include breakfast buffet.
