Ghent to Terneuzen
by gebert
We (2 people) want to travel from Ghent to Terneuzen in April. What is the best way? How much would a taxi cost? Is there a bus that would allow us to arrive in Terneuzen around 1700?

Taxi would probably cost a large heap of money. There is unfortunately no convenient public transport between both places eitehr.
The only way by public transport is by Bus, with quite a few changes.
On weekdays you need to take a bus to Zelzate first. Timetable here:

In Zelzate you need to change to Veolia Bus 6. Timetable here:

On saturdays and sundays there is Connexxion bus nr. 20 which does Gent - Zelzate direct, every two hours.

@Pieter-Jan: Bus 96 goes from Eeklo to Zelzate. The OP wants to get there from Gent. So I'd suggest he/she takes bus 55 there.

You're right. I thought bus 96 stopped at Gent station, but obvious that's Eeklo station.
OK bus 55:

"30 min from Antwerp"
Maybe a little long if you don't hop on E34 right away and get stuck on E19 to Gent. A nice little town right on the water, has always been pretty chilly though whenever I've been there. Stores are open on Sundays. There's a bar/restaurant overlooking the bay where all the ships come in and out. Place is a bit uptight though, lots of uniforms and people being all serious and important, no tunes, but again, a great view. Coffee shop there is ok, nothing great but is usually open.
