B&B Sinke: The Only Bed & Breakfast in Yerseke
The best aspect of this B&B is Mrs. Sinke herself. A scuba-diving Grandmother, she is a treat to talk to and she loves to share stories and explanations of Dutch culture. She came to pick us up from the train station and gave us a tour of town. Every morning she offered us the option of a boiled egg, scrambled egg, or no egg. All choices are acceptable! The fresh-squeezed orange juice was to die for. Mrs. Sinke speaks excellent English, Dutch of course, and probably German - I can't recall if she claimed fluency. She wants to learn Spanish next. I looked through her B&B guest book (it goes back 10 years) and I was the first to write in English. I hope more English speakers stay with her!
Unique Quality: This is a family home, in a traditional Dutch style. It was not grand but it was very clean and comfortable. There is a small kitchenette for tea and microwavable foods. Best part was that she charges only 15 Euros per night!
