The bells, the bells...

The hotel has a number of different parts to it, and they consist of many different 17th century canal and patrician houses. The hotel boasts a fine collection of antiques from this period scattered throughout. This permanent art collection was created by Dora Dolz and defines the image of the hotel, especially the reception and bedrooms.

It was a hotel designated by a conference that I attended in Delft, and would probably have not picked it personally. The restaurant offers breakfast but no lunch or dinner and there is a bar.

Unique Quality: Located next to the Delft Oude Kerk, and the church clock chimes on the hour - however I can tell you that the chimes start at 07.00am and end with the midnight chimes!

The hotel is split over several parts of the street and the rooms do very in standard. Sadly I was in a room at the top of the main builing, the room had no kettle or minibar. However being located on the banks of Delft's oldest canal was a bonus.

Right in the centre and comfortable

This hotel chain (Best Western) has a good name in client friendlyness and comfortable rooms against reasonable prices. Besides this, the "Delft Museum Hotel" has a good location to discover the old town centre from, but can also be used as "base camp" for travels in the The Hague-Rotterdam vicinity for a longer period.

Unique Quality: Perfect location for a one day intensive discovery of Delft

Museumhotel * * * *

Delft is too close to home to have to stay in hotels. But I did once, on an organised weekend some 4 years ago.
The Museumhotel is right next to the Prinsenhof in a beautiful historical setting.

Unique Quality: The hotel belongs to the well known Best Western group. It's not just one building but spread over a series of monumental canal houses. This means the hotelrooms are not all the same! Ours was spacious and bordering on a little park but a bit dark.
The hotel is right in the center and everything is reachable by walking.

Take care: prices differ in seasons.
Unfortunately I have no photo but have a look at their website!

Delft Museumhotel & Residence: coolest Hotel

This darling little hotel was IDEAL! Smack dab in the center of it all, away from the bar, church, and shopping. Sits across the coble stone pedestrian street from the Church. I totally lucked out by getting this hotel. It’s a restored 17th century canal side building. With only 49 rooms and 2 suites. It was around $90 USD a night, not bad for a 4 star boutique hotel. This is a great one nighter, and you can totally see the town in a day, and the nightlife in one night. It’s worth it folks!

lots of the best hotels

Situated on the Old Delft, a street what is crossing trough Delft, north to south,
Direct near the Old Curch, and the Prinsenhof Museum, where our first Royal Prince of the Netherlands started the long chain of royalties of the Netherlands.
He is barried in the New Church with a beatiful marble gravetomb.

Unique Quality: Original very tiny rooms with all the comfort and the modern facilities.
