Hotel Mayflower
This hotel is located in the Beestenmarkt square (probalby the only "large" square in Leiden), where occasionally a flea market is held.
It is only 5 minutes away from the trainstation and unless you are carrying very heavy luggage, it is possible to walk.
I would avoid this Hotel around the 3rd October celebrations as there is an amusement park setup in the square and you can forget about sleeping before 2-3 AM.
There are also some very nice restaurants just accross the street and the main shopping area is also very close.
