Strandhuis Appartementen: Booking.com
Once we returned from our day at the beach someone spoke to us that our car was parked at his spot (he reserved). Lucky enough we were able to move our car to our own spot and that solved our problem. But we also spoke to other people (there are 12 apartments and 9 parking spots) who were not able to park their car, did pay for it and were not able to get in touch with the organization. Once inside our apartment we noticed that the refrigerator was not working correctly and the tv signal was terrible. Of course calling the organization did not work, no one answered the phone. We decided to call Booking.com where we booked the apartment and they promised us to do their best to get in touch with the organization.
We stayed for a week and never heard anything from the people of Strandhuis Appartementen. Booking.com called us a few times that even they were not able to get in touch with anybody via mail, phone of even fax! But anyway, we did enjoy Noordwijk aan Zee, the beautiful weather, the great beach, adventures nightlife and the nice kitchen, good beds and the location of the apartment.
NOTE: in November 2013 Booking.com called us to say that Strandhuis Appartementen was deleted from their site. There were too many complaints about the parking facilities, old and outdated furniture (we did not have that) and the lack of contact with the organization of the apartment.

Strandhuis Apartementen: Beautiful location.
The apartment building is situated on the Koningin Astrid Boulevard in Noordwijk aan Zee, a peaceful location with a direct view of the North Sea, and less than 75 meters from the beach. Of course this makes up for all the inconvenience we experiences parking our car and not getting in touch with people from the organization. We kind of stood in awe on our balcony looking at the boulevard, beach and North Sea. This was the main reason why we booked this apartment.
We inspected the apartment, always curious what to see. We had one bedroom with a double bed, a rather small bathroom with a toilet inside it. There was a fully equipped kitchen with an enclosed living room. And of course the balcony. Strange thing was that it was booked for an apartment for 6 people, but we only had 5 chairs at the balcony with a very small table. A little bit inconvenient for our breakfast in the sun, but anyway. We switched on the refrigerator, packed our stuff and headed for the beach. We definitely wanted enjoy the beautiful day to the fullest.

Strandhuis Appartementen: Not a great start.
For sure Noordwijk aan Zee is one of the most famous Dutch seaside locations and therefore receives over a million tourists a year. For us that is no surprise, because the village is located next to the beautiful beach, ocean and amazing dunes. We did visit Noordwijk aan Zee via a last minute booking. We just returned from our holiday to Italy and we read that even in the Netherlands the weather would be great for another week and via the internet we made a reservation for the apartment at Strandhuis Appartement in Noordwijk aan Zee.
We drove our car to Noordwijk aan Zee situated in the province South-Holland with its “green heart”. When we arrived the troubles started. First of all we were not able to park our car at the parking lot we reserved for €7,- per day. Second of all there was nobody present of the organization to help us and third of all they were not available by phone (multiple times). We had to solve our problem ourselves and so we did, parking our car at another ‘reserved’ spot. The found out that the key simply was in the door of our apartment and time for us to enter it.

Accommodation in private houses: Cheaper Zimmers, Rooms, Kamers
If you want only to sleep somewhere, look for plates which say "Zimmers, Rooms, Kamers. Lots of people rent part of their houses to tourists, and in most cases they have beautiful view over the sea. They cost about 10 to 20 US$ with breakfast.
Booking is also available through the VVV tourist office Noordwijk.
Even cheaper places to sleep are the campings, but they are quite a distance from the sea.

Noordwijk Youth Hostel: Noordwijk Youth Hostel
It is however about 15-20 min walk to the beach - i had a cycle with me at the time - so was very quick for me - about 5 min
Please note the Youth Hostel is quite a way from the town centre of Noordwijk on Zee were all the nightlubs are - and the Restaurant were we ate
We drove in cars when we went restaurant- but i did also cycle there when i had some free time - it is not too far.
I went by road - but i think it is also possible to go to the Coast and get the traffic free cycle path the whole way there (of course if you do this make sure you have lights are you won't be able to see a thing on the way home (lol).
Not too far from Beach if you want to go for a swim.
Sky looks very beautiful on beach at sunset.
Local people do not get a taxi home from the nightclubs - they cycle home (if you do this make sure you have lights however and you are supposed to have reflective tyres in Netherlands)

Huis Ter Duin: Noordwijk full of hotels
Noordwijk is full of hotels and smaller hostels/guest housing. 'Huis Ter Duin' is the biggest one (but probably also the most expensive). I haven't been there my self, but just had to put that picture there :)
Prices might be a little bit higher, because of the "tourist town", but I'm sure you'll find quite low-cost acommodation too.
