Miscellaneous Tips, Rijswijk, Netherlands - Reviews and Hotel Information

A new business focused hotel, close to the Shell offices and right next to the Rijswijk train station.

The hotel is one of the most design conscious that I have stayed in, but this is not necesarilly a good thing. Starting at the reception, the stairs leading to the bar are so steep they would challenge the most accomplished climber.

In the rooms though, it is really like a design student went mad - the bathroom is less of a room, more af a toilet and shower separated from the bedroom by a glass partition - and not an opaque partition either. If you want to go to the bathroom during the day, you would probably be best to pull closed the screen that shields the window. As for sharing the room with anyone - well, you need to be very intimate indeed!

Staff are not particularly friendly, breakfast area can be chaotic at weekends, restaurant is uncomfortable with staff I would actually consider rude.

If it were not that my company has a deal with them and I must stay there when on business, I would happily never step foot in the place again.
