Hotel Albion is a family owned/runned hotel. There are 15 rooms (single to 5 bedrooms).
The hotel doesn't own a private parking space. But you can buy a parking ticket for € 12.50 (it lasts for a day). You can park along the street the hotel is located.
Breakfast is included in the price. They don't serve lunch and dinner.
The hotel is 100 meters from the beach, casino, theater and boulevard of Scheveningen.
I used to go to this hotel with my parents. We had a room with 3 beds in it. One wall was painted red. When you enter the room, it scares you a bit. But when you are adjusted, it is really nice. We stayed here for 2 nights (which costs us € 380). There also was a little balcony. Which is lovely in the summer on a warm day. The only negative of the room was that you hardly had any space using the toilet.
Unique Quality: The little balcony.
Directions: The main road at the beach.

New year's dive
Every 1st of january at 12.00 am exactly everybody can take a refreshing dive in the North sea in Scheveningen under the always interested and amused eye of their fellow humans.
Some pictures and such can be found on http://www.nieuwjaarsduik.nl/ that also includes a count down for next year
Scheveningen is located at the western coast-line of Holland, so you can watch here the famous Dutch sunsets ... really, please do believe me :o)
I love to be around and wait for the Scheveningen sunset, which was in 2006 sublime!
If you walk on the Pier (it is free!) you may enjoy the beautiful sunset light shining all over the beach. When the weather is good the view is so beautiful. The sharpness in focus is gorgeous and the famous colours of any sunset will show up here, too, in Scheveningen ...
Just love it!
It is a wonderful spending of time, just walking around the town. There are some very cute places as well as some with modern sculptures that are very interesting. I really enjoyed my evening walking in the town. The picture was made in Mass Straat.
This is a truely ritual which is hold in Scheveningen. It is the Newyears' Dive on every 1st of January to celebrate the New Year and honouring the North-sea, too.
The event became a national sport-event and 1000 of people come to Scheveningen to join this ritual, even when freezing cold ...
And see... 2007 is the first year in which the Newyears' Dive is canceled, because of the danger of the tide and undercurrents, included the bad weather.
Still some truely North-sea fans could not resist to take the change of a drowning in the danger of the waves and, police had to do their's utmost to watch the enthousiastic patticipants. Well,... it was all on TV this 1st Januari 2007!
