Ice skating
by Nathalie_B
If you have enough time to spend in The Hague and would like to have some fun you can always rent skates and enjoy the winter time! You'll have this opportunity for only a few months, since this place is only open from December through February.
It is located right behind the Binnenhof, infront of the Prisoner's Gate.
Admission and skates rent will cost you around 8 Euro.
Enjoy the cold weather!!
The Royal Palace

Noordeinde is one of many Royal palaces in The Hague, this one is the working place for the Queen. The building belongs to the Royal family for many centuries, and it is interesting to see it, but basically, it is just another palace.
Pasar Malam Besar Festival Event
by RoyJava
The Pasar Malam Besar in The Hague is a party-time every year to me. Actually it used to be an event for people who had been born in Indonesia and immigrated to Holland (the migrant "Indo"). They gathered together, had a chat, a laugh, some buys, and brought their delicious food. It's called a "kumpulan" ...
So this small gathering worked out into a huge festival. It is the biggest Indo-event of the world, started by Tjalie Robinson at The Hague, and running for now by 7 women. That is very special, is it? So if you are around in the month of Juin, take care of the posters hanging around. The Pasar Malam Besar Festival Event will be announced and, you will find me with the Art-Stand. One of my best times in The Hague, read more >>>
Pasar Malam Besar - The Hague
Northern Beach - Noorderstrand
by RoyJava
When visiting The Hague there is no chance to miss the beach resort Scheveningen. See the famous Kurhaus & De Pier with a walk in Southerly direction the more quiet Southern Beach = Zuiderstrand, and going in Northern way the utmost trendy Black Path at Northern Beach = Noorderstrand. Both are my favourites for different reasons ... Choose the best one for your own preference and enjoy the sun, the ocean, the waves, the heat, the people, the sports, the snacks, the walk, the air, the wind, the wide views, the Pier and the Kurhaus.
Just enjoy yourself ... ;o)))
Visit Madurodam, an open air...
by egonwegh
Visit Madurodam, an open air exposition of well-known Dutch buildings entirely built to scale (a very old ticket... since my last visit, prices have increased more than fourfold: in 2002, adults will have to pay Euro 10, i.e. 22 guilders). By the way: the exposition will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2002!
