Apartment: Groot Hertoginelaan

Quite a convenient place. Not too far from the City Centre, but everything you need is within walking distance from my apartment.

A two bedroom apartment, not so big, but suits me fine.

Unique Quality: You could say a typical Dutch apartment.

However, there is no air-cond or fan, so can be quite stuffy and hot especially in the hot 30 something degrees temperature.

My house: No tip

This isn't a tip but i needed a place to store the picture of my last house. And i can't burn it on a cd now sinc ethis internet cafe doesn't have a burner. So i do it this way...

Hotel Bellevue: Once Best Area To Go Out

Always a hearty welcome by Hotel Bellevue at the "Royal City" of the Netherlands. Situated in the bustling heart of the old The Hague and in the immediate vicinity of the beautiful Hollands Spoor station, Hotel Bellevue is next to the red light district and, The Hague Rijswijkse Plein (chanted in a song) is within short walking distance of the hotel, various criss-cross streets and the busy shopping center ...

Unique Quality: It is not that fortuitous this hotel belongs to the upmost cheapest hotels of The Hague. Long time ago this area was a popular area to go out and very good friends of me lived at the Zuylichemstraat, just opposite of the Hotel Bellevue, runned by a friend too. A nice friendly hotel with all facilities of a good guesthouse. We went there every morning for a chat with a wonderfull cup of coffee and biscuits ...

Slowly this area got reduced to pauperism in a bad way, and just the beauty of the Hollands Spoor reminds of the good good old days ... and funny happy times. Hollands Spoor is a railway station in The Hague still carries the name of one of these original companies (HS = Dutch Railway).

Holiday Centre Kijkduinpark: Camping in Kijkduin

This camping is located in a green area close to Kijkduin beach (outside The Hague). It's very quiet and clean and you have many facilities : different accomodation types (chalet, villa or camping places), restaurant, bars, swimming-pool, supermarket, playground for kids.

Camping Kijkduin: In the middel of the nature and the dunes

4 stars camping for a 4 stars stay! I loved it!

Unique Quality: The camping is in the middle of a park (Kijkduinpark) and thus surrounded by dunes, trees, typical dune vegetation... and you will also find there everything you need for you comfort: supermarket, restaurant, swimming pool and the most important : clean sanitary facilities.

Kijkduinpark is presently situated at the location where the Romans had their settlement eighteen hundred years ago.

You have many Accommodation types: dune villa, chalet or camping pitch.
Kijkduin beach is only a five minute walk away
Close to the Kijkduin family seaside resort and to Scheveningen.
Many recreational possibilities in The Hague
The park is located in a green area; just beyond the park is the Solleveld nature reserve and the Ockenburgh estate

Helpfulness

Most accomodation (and best as...

Most accomodation (and best as well) is to be found along the sea at Scheveningen. Here a huge concentration of hotels, pensions, Bed & Breakfast are to be found. Most famous and luxureous of all: the Kurhaus (casino).
Around the town there are some campings and bungalow-parcs that are great for families with children (especially Kijkduin has nice campgrounds).

I know there are some good...

I know there are some good hotels and youthhostels here, but I don't remember any addresses or names, sorry! You can ask for more information at the tourist information centre (VVV) as well in the station of Leiden as in the centre of town.
