The Indonesian Embassy at The Hague reminds me of my very first official exhibition a few years ago. Painting a Javanese legendary subject (the Spirit-queen of the Southern Ocean) it was an honour to show the paintings all together on "Indonesian" territory, in the Gallery Nusantara Room. 4 Dutch Artists expressed their passion for Indonesia, each with their own vision, style and interpretation."FASCINATING INDONESIA" was a unique exhibition indeed ...The Indonesian Embassy is known as "The Villa", and is founded from high architectural interest ... the area is a reposeful place not that far from the center and close to Laan van Meerdervoort.
