Inside the church, hanged on the walls, informative boards are presenting the history of both the stave churches in Norway and Gol stave church in particular.
Interesting to study is the pictures presenting a section of the stave church offering in this way the possibility to easily identify the features of these particular churches.
Stavkirke at Gol
Before we drive to Hemsedal, the little town where we rented an apartment for two weeks, we decide to pay a visit at the Stavkirke in Gol.
Gol is a small town with a few shops but most interesting for our children a swimming pool with circa 10 different kinds of slides.
So a few days later on a nice sunny Sunday we decide to drive back to Gol for a swim.
We almost got a heart attack when we heard what we had to pay for that swim paradise, for the four of us we had to pay €60,00!!
