Fossekroa: Fishing camp, motel, camp ground all in one

Fossekroa is for me mainly a restaurant/cafe and a place to pick up a fishing licence once in a while. However there are hotel-style accommodations, small huts, tent and caravan camp grounds and that's how they make their business. Fossekroa, the centre of "Brufossfisket" is mainly a salomon fishing camp. There is a nearby service house. During offseason (outside the salooon season) the Fossekroa is used mainly by hunters and locals. The locals use the place as restaurant and party place, for family events etc.

The ownership is split, so that some facilities belong to Lindsverk Gjestegård, and some to the "Brufossfisket". For visitors this has little significance, you will be directed to get the best info by these friendly people.

Unique Quality: A very good place for salmon fishing and also to watch salmon anglers haul in their catch.
Occasionally you will have the chance to taste beaver at the restaurant here. There is beaver culling in the area. There is often other game on the menu as well.
The best deal would probably be for a group of people to hire a cabin, 4-5 person one is NOK 675, 7-8 person one is NOK 795 per night. Chek before you go, because in the main salonom season these facilities may be booked well ahead.
