If you are not going for the luxury of a spa, there are a lot of other accomodation possibilities:

Finnskogtoppen Helsetun: Spa in the huge forests on the swedish border

It is a spa, the price includes three meals a day and free use of the hotel's fascilities. The diet is lacto-vegetarian with a possibility of getting fish and white meat. They offer different kinds of treatment, sport activities, cultural walks in Svullrya, visits to some of the old Finnish crofts and lectures about food / philosophy and the culture and traditions of Finnskogen.

Unique Quality: Finnskogtoppen is situated on the top of a hill with a magnificent view of lake Røgden. There is nature all around you, an indoor pool with live classical music and candle lights in the evenings, and a gym. During summer boating is a possibility on lake Røgden, and hiking / walking tours. During winter, you can go horse-sleighing or crosscountry skiing.
