Best Western Hordaheimen

I stayed eight days, enjoying the wifi access and was able to contact home each day. My day of departure I was leaving before the breakfast bar opened so they provided me with a specially prepared breakfast. It was great.

Unique Quality: Very close to Vagen and Fisketorget. I walked all over and I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I would stay again.

Directions: A five minute walk from the fish market for an older guy like me.

I booked a single room which was VERY small indeed, with an even smaller bathroom but as I was only paying a 'special price' of £50 a night, I felt it was just about adequate. However, I'd specifically asked for a smoking room and when I noticed it wasn't, the reception staff were very apologetic and moved me to another room... this time a double and a little larger.

I'd also selected the hotel because it had a restaurant but it closed so early in the evening, I found it to be of little use for dinner. I think that was probably because I was there in November when it's very quiet and it gets dark so early. Where it did come into its own was at breakfast where tasty hot food was served in addition to the normal buffet items.

The location was very good, just a short walk from the Harbour and with shops right behind.

The staff were friendly and helpful so it felt comfortable for a single traveller but I would recommend paying a bit more for one of the superior rooms.
