It's a converted house, and you can tell. The vibe is extremely cozy, warm, beautiful, classy without being over the top. It hits the perfect balance. A lot of the rooms are small, from what I can tell from seeing the rooms of other people in my group, but mine was ENORMOUS and so beautiful! I had room 36, which is on the top floor and on the corner, and the ceiling slopes gently down to the wall - there are also lots of windows with a gorgeous mountain view. If it's available, I HIGHLY recommend this particular room.
It's also very close to town, about a 10 minute walk. And there's free wireless internet access too!
The staff were great, the cleaning staff was thorough, everything about my stay was absolutely perfect. I will never stay anywhere else in Bergen!
