Inexpensive Eating Places
Hello,
Budget constraints, require me to ask your for your assistance to identify places to eat in Bergen which are light on the pocket!
Could you please suggest supermarkets and restaurants and the average cost it would be to eat at these restaurants.
Restaurants in the following are
1. City Centre, around Hotel Bergen
2. Bergen Aquarium
3. Bryggen Hanseatic Wharf (this is the lovely place by the harbour right?)

Well Bergen centre isn't that big, so you won't need a special place for each of those. What type of food do you like? Italian? Try Pasta Sentralen. That's where many students eat, and that's usually a good budget indicator :-)

Travel Tips for Bergen
You gotta make a trip to the...
You gotta make a trip to the Fish Market (Torget) which is between Bryggen & Kong Oscars Gate. The prices are reasonable & absolutely fresh seafood is what you find. Don't forget to make a trip to the Fjords. It was raining the 1st 2 days that we were there and on our last day (we had about the whole morning & afternoon to explore the town), it was PERFECT weather! No clouds in the sky & the sun was shining so brightly. The Torget was then really crowded with the tourists & the locals & everyone was so cheery. We spent this last day just walking around, enjoying the sunny weather. Check out the picture which i took of that wonderous morning!
Bergen Tip
At Bergen i had my first VT meeting. With daarth of course. Who else? Friendly, always with a smile in his face, just like i met him in our virtual life here in VT. If you had the luck of meeting him, you'll inderstand what i mean. What a guy!
The brown cheese
The food is so good Try the brown cheese.. You will never forget the taste, and you will fall in love...This is verry Norwegian. We use it on our bread for breakfast. Some also have some gelly on the top. Mmmmm mmm mmm mm
Make some one happy
I never forget walking down the fish marked.
Suddently on man came and gave me a rose and then he disappeared again.
If you whant to make somebody happy, why not just try this ?.... This is so many years ago, but Im smiling still.
Tips nr. 2 : i If you have to go..........
Have some change on you. You find toilet at the marked, but its not so nice there. Try to go to a restaurant instead.
