A comfortable and convenient option
I would have been happier with my stay at the Steens if they had a single for me, rather than a double - it was a little over my budget. That said, I found the location perfect, just up the hill when you turn left at the train station, the room comfortable and quiet. Note that this is an old mansion so there are no elevators. Charming.

19-th century atmosphere, 21-st century comfort
We only stayed one night to this hotel, but its charm added to Bergen's overall good impression.
Situated resonable central (15 minutes walk to the station), it is in a very quiet area, close to a very beautiful park where you can feed the ducks and geese, if you feel like :).
The room was comfortable, even though, I have to admit, we were more outside.
The excellent food and the very friendly staff make it as a serious candidate to overnight during a future visit to Bergen.
