Comfortable Stay with Beautiful Views
The Grande Fjord hotel was a choice made at a rather last minute due to availabilities, but I must say, it was a good choice. All rooms have a southern view, overlooking the beautiful fjord. You can watch the cruise ships roll in and out from either your room or the restaurant/lounge on the top floor.
The rooms are relatively simple, but comfortable enough. Since the rooms all face south, they get plenty of light and direct sun during the middle of the day.
The reception is on the bottom floor, around the back side of the hotel. But there is an entrance on both the ground floor (lobby) and the 7th (top) floor by the restaurant.
You could drive if you want, but the hotel is only 2km from the main town, which we walked in 30 minutes since.
Unique Quality: The breakfast which was included was slightly above the average.
Parking and WiFi are both free.
The staff were exceptionally kind and helpful to our questions.
