Hjelle Hotel: At Strynevatnet Lake

This is a well kept hotel at Hjelle with view over Strynevatnet lake, built in 1896 and still kept in its traditional style. Ideal as a stop over around the Roof of Norway.
The hotel has got a restaurant, a sauna, offers rowing boats and bicycle hire. The Fjord pass can be purchased at the motel.

Gjørva camping: Excellent location

Gjørva camping has three cabins situated very near the Geirangerfjord, and with excellent views.

The cabins have two bedroom, and a hems (small bedroom high up under the ceiling). Nice livingroom with kitchen and dining table, plus a terrace in front where you can sit and stare at the fjord and the mountains untill your eyes pop out... ;)

'Rum' at Inger Gausdal's guesthouse: A room over Geiranger

We stayed there every time we visited Geiranger. There are a few rooms let to visitors in the house: the ones on the first floor are more expensive, but some of them overlook the fjord. The two double rooms in the basement, where we stayed, have one huge advantage - a separate entrance and the parking space right in front of your door - very convenient for unloading the car. The bathroom is shared, but if the other room is unoccupied, you have it to yourselves. And you can see the fjord from your window, well, only just. There is a cooker and a fridge in each room plus a lot of kitchen utensils. The underfloor heating is an extra plus.

Unique Quality: At the back of the house there is a pretty garden that overlooks the fjord. You can have your meals outside, admiring the view and watching the ferries.
The hosts are keen anglers ready to give advice to those interested in fishing.
