Cabin in the middle of nowhere

You can rent for a week or so a cabin in the middle of nowhere, I did not need it myself so I cannot give more details here, but look in the net and you can find out agencies

Camping

The are many camping sites around here, some are official and some are just local. You do not need to worry too much to find one, there will always be one by the road.

Bønå Villmarksferie: Wilderness par exellance - Bønå

Came on day visits twice and enjoyed the facilities. Didn't catch any salmon, though.
Went for a hike up the valley, enjoyed talking to the owners of the Bønå farm and wilderness experience facilities. Separate cabins or rooms integrated in the farm building, several categories available, but simple. Superb wilderness exploration spot if fjords and mountains are both on your agenda. It was on mine. As I stayed in a tent kayak/camping, I only used the facilities offered at Bønå during daytime.

Unique Quality: No road access, at the innermost reaches of one of the most exciting fjords in Norway - Visten fjord.
Fishing rights, boats available. Salomon fishing on the premises. Trout fishing up in the mountains, excellent fjord fishing. Hunting licences available in season.
Fjording horse rides available. Guided hikes in the mountains available, visit to a cave with cave paintings, canoe and motor boat rental, food service etc. etc.
Accommodations at the fjord, up in the mountains, in saami shelters.
Quite rough, and I am not sure the place would accept American lawyers who may sue for too hot coffee or too steep mountains and danger of children getting wet. A challenging place for overprotective parents, but a paradise for outdoorsy families.
Life at this place is really something beyond the black stump, and economically also at the margins of regular life in Norway.
