There are several fishing...

There are several fishing villages in the Lofoten. Most of them have small hotels where you can stay. I was staying at the Rica hotel in Svolvaer and I think this is the best option. It is housed in traditional red-wooden pavillions on the port.
To sleep over the water
by Cristian_Uluru about Rica Hotel Svolvaer
Rica Hotel Svolvaer is very nice and it is located on the small island of Lamholmen in the town of Svolvaer. The hotel has got some rooms built over stilt houses and all of them has got TV, phone and minibar. In the restaurant you can have a very good buffet breakfast and to have a great view over the harbour of the town.

Svolvaer: Svolvaergeita
by Cristian_Uluru
Svolvaergeita is a strange rocky formation with two peaks. You can see it from the town of Svolvaer and it is one of the symbol of the city. You can climb the mountain but it is very difficult to reach the two peaks: Storhornet adn Lillehornet. You can find more information in the tuorist office.

Ferries from Narvik to Svolvaer

Hello! Does anyone have timetable information for the ferry from Narvik to Svolvaer? Apparently OVDS sold the route to another company. Thanks for the help!

I don't know if there's a car ferry - but here's a link to the "Arctic Fjord Express" between Narvik & Svolvær:

Thanks, Mette! Actually, we'll be traveling by rail and boat, so a car ferry isn't necessary.
It's interesting there's no ferry on Saturday... though there will probably be more frequent service in the Summer.
Cheers,
