Very romantic place
Now this is a place where I'll bring a future girlfriend! Hotel Valhalla. Situated on the top of the hill it's a great view from the hotel all over Fredrikstad. The rooms seem very cosy and it's a romantic feeling all over the place.
There is a parking lot beside the hotel, for guests, which means you won't have to climb up the hill, as I did. Not recommended... ;) It's a long way to climb.
The hotel is old, with no possibility to get access to internet. That's why I couldn't stay here when I was in Fredrikstad for work.
Situated very central though, just a "climb" from the biggest street. Maximum 3 minutes walk to the center, including the river path "Bryggepromenaden".
The hotel is quite small, with only 17 rooms. All with tv, shower and wc and telephone.
Prices are good, the lowest I've seen in Fredrikstad. A single room costs 695 NKR (73-74 euro), a double goes for 995 NKR¨, triple room 1095 NKR. There is also an appartment that you can rent, for 1095 NKR. That price is for two persons.
Prices includes breakfast.
Unique Quality: So far I haven't stayed here, so I can't say so much about it. Seems very very nice though!
