I do not stay in Radisson Blu Lillehammer but had a site inspection of the Hotel. And first of all I would mention the location - it's not even close to what they say in the location description on their web site! It's about 15-20 minutes walking up to the Hotel from the city centre and if you do not have car you'd better have alpenstocks and a pair of good non-slippery shoes. Taking into consideration the fact that the footpaths in Lillehammer are not cleaned enough from snow it would be a more challenge to go down from the Hotel than to go up there: be careful of slippy descent!
I was a bit disappointed with the rooms in the hotel, given the 4* rating. They seemed a bit basic in comparison to what I was expecting. The facilities in the hotel itself are awesome - restaurant, nightclub, entertainment, indoor / outdoor pool, sauna, volleyball, iceskating, family room and the list goes on. It is within walking distance of the olympic park and town although the ice can be treacherous (quite a steep downhill). It is a bit out of town, so going out at night can require transport and you cannot get a basic evening meal at any of the restaurants.
I would go back with a family who would really enjoy the facilities on offer. I would try and find something more central / lively if I was traveling in the area alone.
