Classy & Sassy
This is probably the oldest hotel still in business in Oslo, and it's owned by the Brochmann family in it's fifth generation I think. Classy, sassy and the Theather Café where the finance elite and national entertainment stars love to hang out. In general a good hotel with good food and a forthcoming staff. Maybe a tad snobby.

One of the leading hotels in the world
For first-time visitors it may first seem like a regular hotel. You might even wonder why they have such high prices, when the entrance isn't especially fancy (unlike Radisson SAS Plaza hotel).
Hotel Continental is one of Oslo's oldest hotels, and is not a chain-hotel. The owner and magament of the Hotel has gone through generations, all within the same family.
The hotel suits one of Oslo's best resturants "Anden Etage", as well as a great and very famous café called "Theatercaféen".
Theathercaféen was once described by New York Times as a must-see-café.
I've stayed there one time over one night, I ate one time at Theathercaféen, while I stayed over for another night.
Also, the prices vary from what room you chose, and what days you are staying. Much cheaper in the weekends.
Unique Quality: I've talked with people staying there, as well as reading reviews. Everyone agrees: Hotel Continental has an outstanding service.
Each room is unique. The hotel is sort of split in two; old part and modern part. You can choose which one you prefer.
As I've looked into the history of the hotel, I am fascinated and intrigued.
When walking the halls, it's like you feel the historic whisper.

Hotel Continental
This is a great hotel in terms of location. We were a five minute walk from many sites, and the tram ran right in front of the hotel.
Unique Quality: The rooms were very pleasant and modern. This is one of Oslo's better hotesl and was included in our Norwegian Coastal Voyage package.
