We found Saga Hotel only the day before since we were traveling with no set itinerary. Its location, being two minute walk from the Uranienborg stop made it easily accessible to the town center. Its location is also in a quiet corner so you can rest easily without the noise of the city.
The hotel's interior had been recently remodeled and improved. It is very comfortable, with large soft beds, comfortable chairs, etc. The decoration is new and has a modern contemporary style to it.
While we did not have to interact with the staff much, they were polite and assisted in our basic questions. The breakfast maybe was not the best we had had in Norway, it was a good spread of breads, jams, vegetables, meat cuts, juices, etc.
Unique Quality: Among the amenities I appreciated most were the black-out curtains (good for those long summer nights), free WiFi and AirCon if its a hot day.
Directions: A two minute walk from the Uranienborg stop on the trolley.
OK, I have to admit, I haven't been there yet, but already booked five nights there for the end of october, as it looks really nice and seems very well-located!
Unique Quality: Gonna add with very fine content as well as nice pictures as soon as I am back, I hope. Stay tuned, folks!
Nice hotel in central parts of Oslo in an area with mainly private livingquarters. The hotel has all the usual qualities one should expect, while also offering good prices every now and then in various campaigns.
